A lot of us aren't from the U.S. ( I am), but to answer your question... I don't know if we can survive four years with either...

I'm not American so I don't know anything about Kerry but I think Bush is almost as hopeless as our John Howard who just got voted in again...the problem is that most of the population don't really know much about the candidates and their policies, so they seem to base their vote on campaign ads on TV. :(

PS. I'm from Australia....Aussie Aussie Aussie......oi..oi..oi.... :D

Its quite interesting to see the opinions of those inside and outside the US on this issue. It seems that most (though not all by any means) Americans are happy with Bush. They see him as a strong leader who is keeping the economy strong, is doing his best to keep the country safe, and who is fighting the war against terror to make the world safer.
Most outsiders however, see him as a dangerous man, who invaded a soverign nation (Iraq), after bypassing the UN, because it would'nt agree with, and sanction, the action he wanted to take, who has threatened to invade other nations, and has made the world more dangerous, by giving the Muslim fundamentalists more reason to hate the west.
My personal opinion, is that I hope Kerry will win, but being realistic, I know that probably won't happen. I just hope that the situation in Iraq improves over the next year or so, all foreign troops can be brought home (including the Australians), and Bush does'nt take similar action against another nation.

I think youre right Arkacia, I dont think is was right for the war to start without UN backing....I know the problems in the world are getting worse, but now the war has made this happen faster....

It's amazing to me how non-americans know so much about the presidentail race here. Not to sound mean or idiotic, but I have no idea who is in charge of Australia??? :D We know about it because its forcefed to us on the media here, everytime Bush or Kerry sneeze, we hear about it :D.

I think that the reason we hear about your politics, while you don't hear about ours, is because of the enormous infuence the USA has around the world. It surprises me sometimes, that most Americans don't realise how much your country, and especially its government, is reported on and examined by the foreign media. This election affects the world almost as much as it affects the people of the US, and its result will have an impact on peoples in many countries (Iraq and Afghanistan for example), so the foreign interest is understandable.

I am not surprised, or offended, that you don't know the leaders of Australia. John Howard (or the garden gnome, as I call him), is'nt someone I want to see on the world stage, so the less he is known overseas, the higher Australians can hold their heads up when visiting other countries :D:D.

Well, the election is over now, and we all know Bush won, so not much point in leaving this open. I'll close it, and let it disappear, eventually:).
