I'm starting this thread to get ideas from all members on how we can get this forum active again.

It is getting so dead, the undertaker has finished the embalming, and the gravedigger has started digging the hole :D.

My suggestions are..

We get the post before you play thing happening again. Yes, it did attract spam, but it also got people posting.

Kick Shaggy, and get some more games up. If we are going to push for post before you play, then it's only fair there are a good choice of games to play.

All of us who care about the forum commit to putting up a few posts a week at least, including me :p.

Does anyone else have any ideas?

There is no way for me to give this idea a title but i'm just going to explain this.
Say

Games A, B and C are level 1 games
Games D, E and F are level 2 games
Games G, H and I are level 3 games

Level 1 are the kiddie type games (boring but time comsuming) that everyone can play
Level 2 are a little more fun but require X amount of post before you can play these games
Level 3 the games get better and that would require Y amount of post
I guess you could call this a reward system.
I'm sure you can see where i'm going with this. People will say, "oohh i can play tetris or snake as much as i want i don need those other games." Trust me i thought the same thing with my phone but I got sick of those games and I download a s**tload of games cause tetris got boring.
Arkacia i agree with putting up a few post, but there only so much we can say.

That sounds like an interesting idea.

Another is something that has been mentioned before, and that is a coin op type system where posts, threads ect earn coins, and a person has to pay a certain amount to play the games. For example a post could earn 5 coins, and the games cost 2 coins for each play. Like a real arcade.

For the moment though, I think we should bring the 15 posts before the arcade will open back. That was working and did turn some members into regular posters.
