Whats your favorite public holiday?
Mine is ANZAC day. Its an Australia only holiday celebrated on the 25th April every year and is a day of rememberence for all our soldiers lost in war.
Every city, and most towns, have a parade where all surviving veterans of the various wars Australia has fought in get together and march through the streets. Its a very stirring sight and something that does bring our nation together. Of course growing up the army brat of a Vietnam veteran/career soldier does make ANZAC day mean a bit more to me.
