Here is an example of what I'm seeing here.

i wanna play the new conkers abd fur day cos the old one was awsome

I would like to see posts that are proper and understandable and Etiquette

Seeing posts such as this that are not unstandable in the least, due in part of laziness, I'm very sure that we all have attended school and I very certain that teachers never allow this on any reports..and I'm sure that teachers do not practice laziness terms in place of proper grammar.

What I want to see is more posts that are understable to all readers, because if they are not..I'm just going to deem it as spam and they will be subject to deletion without any given notice.

It can certainly be frustrating trying to work out what a post means if it is not written in clear English.
Everyone should really have a quick look at what they have typed before submitting the post so any mistakes can be fixed. It only takes one typo to make a post confusing or unreadable so its a good idea to do a quick check.

Because of our rule that you need 15 posts on the forum to play games, we sometimes get people posting anything on the forums just to get into the Arcade. This spoils it for all the members who read the forums because they have to look through pages of spam to read the interesting posts.

Because of this problem the Moderators here will delete any post that is unreadable or makes no sense, for the sake of keeping the site good for the rest of us who are happy to follow the rules.

So please take a few seconds to check your post so you are sure it makes sense to anyone else reading it. I have found that if something is difficult to understand then people may skim over it and move onto something else rather than take the time trying to figure out what it means. So when you think about it, there's not much point in posting a message if no one can read it is there? :)

Rules of this forum

Welcome to RandomGames

1 Flaming and Insulting other members - Are not allowed and will not be tolerated. Attack the arguement not the poster. Insults include name calling and questioning another members intelligence. The word "gay" used in an insulting manner is considered a flame and will be deleted.

2 Trolling - A troll is someone who posts an extreme statement in one or more threads designed to provoke angry reactions from the rest of the forum and start a flame war. An example would be something like "Kill all *blanks* and save the white race". I also consider senseless bashing of nations/people, eg "All *blanks* are stupid" as trolling. Any posts/threads of this nature will be deleted or locked.

3 Hate Posts/Threads - Are not allowed and will be deleted. Includes racisim of any kind and insults against groups such as women, homosexuals and religions. There is sometimes a fine line between a hate post/thread and trolling. Both are banned on this forum.

4 Spam - Any silly, off topic, meaningless or gibberish posts/threads will be deleted without explaination or warning. Off topic chit chat posts between two or more members is also considered spam.

5 Bad Language - Swearing and sexually explicit language are not allowed. Toilet language (words used to describe various bodily functions) is also banned. Sexual references are frowned upon but will be judged on a case by case basis by the mod who finds them. Chances are they will be deleted however.

6 Links - No links to pages containing illegal content (includes warez), porn, or click for points/money sites (Outwar etc). No linking to commercial websites for advertising/sales purposes.

7 The Philosophers Playground and The Oracle - As these forum have been set up as an in-depth discussion area for serious subjects, posts must have a minimum of 20 words or they will be considered spam and deleted.

8 Search - Please use the search funtion to make sure your new thread doesn't already exist. Also check that its going into the correct forum. Any duplicates will be closed or merged. There is no rule against gravedigging or necromancing on this forum. If a thread is open and not in The Crypt, its open for posts.

If you see anything that you feel breaks these rules, please feel free to report it with the "report bad post" button, that is displayed on every post, or PM one of the SuperModerators.

The most important rule is.....Enjoy the forum and have fun. :)

Random Games does not promote or condone illegal drugs of any sort..
If you plan to come in and post such bragging..then you are basically no better then the pusher/s themselves..should you do so..1 of 2 things will occur..
You will have your post deleted and also you will be warned or you may flat out be banned out right..without warning..

This is a rule that I will enforce one way or another.. at discretion..

I've just spent a while cleaning up spam, and a lot of it was written in net/im speak.

From this day forward, net/im speech is banned on this forum and any posts using it will be deleted. There is no reason members can't use proper english and make their posts easy to read and understand by all. This gibberish is nothing more than a sign of laziness in my opinion.

This ban is also to respect those of our members who don't have english as their first, and in some cases second or third language. This net/im speech just makes it harder for some of them to understand what others have written.
