Okay... another interesting idea popped into my head...
Here's how the game is played... simply enough, you just go through the alphabet without using a certain letter throughout an entire sentence. You start by not using "A", then "B", so on and so forth...
Example:
Post #1: Bob is drinking rum. (Notice the lack of "A")
Post #2 An irate duck attacks pollovivo. (Notice the lack of "B")
Like other forum games, once we hit "Z", we'll cycle back to "A"...
To start...
Ginseng is good for you...

Hey Supermario, your "No N" sentence actually contains an N in the word building...

NOTE - I wanted to say "continue the story"(no "r"):D...instead of random sentences. Like the 3 words game....

Under all of the similarities, they did contain some startling differences. (no V)
EDIT: Post #300, YAY!

It came to be that gamers at randomgames could come to see these differences, and that both games can be entertaining. (no 'w')

(no "x") So supermario and pollovivo decided that both of their games could continue on, so they did.
pollovivo
04-14-2005, 07:49 AM
(No 'y') Soon though, pollovivo realized that supermario was taking all of his game's non-hard letters, like 'Q' and 'X'.
supermario
04-14-2005, 07:50 AM
(no 'z') And supermario noticed that pollovivo was very observant, and yes, he has gotten very lucky so far.

supermario
04-15-2005, 05:37 PM
timmy, we're going backwards from Z to A right now, you need "V"... but I'll take it...
(no "v") But timmy decided to join the duel, and the three had to duke it out.

and ffreak rejoiced, for so few new members to web pages seem to comprehend rules of forum games!
supermario
04-16-2005, 02:05 PM
(no s)And I decided to keep the game going by adding the following line.
HinesDaMan
04-16-2005, 03:53 PM
But Hines had folly in his attempts to make a sentence without the symbol following S, and thus this post makes no sense. (NO "R")
supermario
04-16-2005, 04:48 PM
But supermario loved the fact that yet once again, he had to make a sentence without the letter coming after "P" and before "R", despite the fact that others will now hate supermario with a passion if they didn't already. :D
(No "Q")
Freakums
04-16-2005, 05:17 PM
mario, "this" has an s in it. :p
(no p)
and FFrek3 shrugged and nodded toqwards supermarios reply a while back which did use s after all!
(No "O").......and Freakums I will tell ya, that ya replies have 2 T's earlier, and 2 P's in the last reply. I'm thinking it isn't just the new members having difficulty with the game rules:D:D:p..
HinesDaMan
04-17-2005, 09:54 AM
I totally agree, Mick; this game is hard for the most skilled vocabularists. I do, however see how Freakums could cheat simply because he misspells words so regularly, few would realize that the word he used improperly actually uses the letter he omitted! (NO "N")
(BTW...I am rather impressed with myself for not using N in that really long sentence above...kudos to me LOL :D)
supermario
04-17-2005, 10:11 AM
Wow; I am blown away by those skills, Hines; It is awesome that you could think of a sentence that long, especially in this thread, lol; however, I have found that there is no way I'll be able to top that in this post, at least... possibly when we get to no "q" or no "x" again. (no "m")
(no "L") And i'm amazed that you managed to get 3 M's into the first sentence of your post:D..I'm thinking everyone is confused now:p....Yes that was a good effort Hines, going to be hard to beat I reckon ;)
supermario
04-17-2005, 11:38 AM
But since HinesDaMan was doing the no "n" sentence, as opposed to the no "m" sentence (which happened to be mine), he has no problems whatsoever, and as a result, his entire Sunday has become more pleasing for both him and everyone else living on the planet Earth; possibly even everyone living in the entire universe.
HinesDaMan
04-17-2005, 02:51 PM
Thank you for the courteous words, they helped to make my day better, that's for sure. My hopes are that someone other than Super shall get letters X or Q next, so that the easy letters may go to new people, preferably myself. Sorry, Super. (NO "I")

(no "g")Supermario thinks that the premise of this thread that involves formation of a valid storyline does not work well, at least so far; since nobody has really followed it anyways.
Freakums

supermario
04-17-2005, 07:33 PM

(no "e")Oh, OK... I thought that individuals such as Mick and Arkacia had that much rights as mods.
(no F) Well we do have the rights to decide what is allowed but we try to keep things interesting by allowing members to start games and decide how they are played so others can enjoy them. As long as it doesn't break the rules:)....

(no P)Massive death tool huh?....hmmm..that's a new name for it, haven't heard that before:D:D....ahem...oh the grenade?..yes it is a bit of a one shot wonder....I am wondering where it would go, boomerangs don't always come back:p
A hint for those having trouble leaving out the letter, get a smartie, marble, blu-tac, etc and sit it on the keyboard letter you are not using so you don't accidently use it.... otherwise we might start a new thread called "find the mistake in the missing letter game":D:p
Whew....beat that Hines:D
HinesDaMan
05-06-2005, 05:34 PM
That was most impressive Mick, but alas you posted all of that on the letter P, leaving me the letter after it to follow you...one that is very easy to ignore, I might add. Perhaps, when I get another vowel or tough consonant like S or T I would truly be able to shine. Until then though, I give my crown to as reigning Missing Letter Game champ! All hail the new King! Due to the long reply by Mick a while ago, I have decided to attempt to beat him with an attempt a word or two longer (or maybe longer) than the high before beginning. Fortunately, my reply will be more amazing; for I am not given for my reply an mere uncomplicated letter, but one applied throughout the entire language. Although I have proven my ability and talent to make a declaration in the game with a no "q" or "x" reply, I am fully proving to the entire forum now that I can and will complete the undertaking appointed to me in the game. And on that note, I bid you all a wonderful farewell from the RG Theatre of the omitted letter game, with the new title of the "Record Length Reply" in the game.
We will find out if anybody can beat my one hundred fifty-nine word entry in the game anytime in the near future.
