not enough choice, sides, ultra-mega-secrets, difficultly, actual rpgness(which is very low even in the earlier ones), and the stories?
horrible. I loved the classicness of the earlier ones. worked through old story methodsa to accomplish a lasting effect ion the players throgub the gameplay, rather then through an emotional rollar coaster ride straight down . . .. .

Oh god! FFVII is one of the best games ever made! Has anyone here beaten Ruby Weapon (american release version) because I can't. So ****in' hard! :D I know everything about it so if anyone gets stuck just ask (beat everything except for ruby weapon, but I know how to come close-ish)!

Final Fantasy 6 on the SNES is the best by far. Who cares about grpahics, the sotry and characters werre soo well constructed.

I love VII, except I died on the last version of sephiroth, and then got discouraged because I battled him forever and because of that, I let a friend borrow for what was supposed to be a short time. He lost it, so now I can't see the ending, which I really want to see. VIII is okay, except the magic system is terrible with that junction crap and IX isn't bad, but the characters look really dumb.

Man... the first time I fought lord sephiroth I got him down to almost nothing and then he used supernova to finish me... (Sephiroth is awesome :D !!!)... finally beat him... I found an easy way if you've got the right materia...

Right off the bat, he will cast barrier in his final form... use a debarrier type of attack to negate it then blast him with the ultimate summon... knights of the round... for circa 70,000 damage and a instant KO. There is a reeeeeeally freaking awesome final final battle that you can't possibly lose, but as a hint don't wait for Sephiroth to attack you or it ruins the fun in using your ultimate limit break...

still... why would you want to destroy Sephiroth when he is so freaking awesome to begin with? Beside the destruction of the world as we know it so that he can become even more absurdly powerful... :D

I love VII, I beat everything in it multiple times. Pollovivo, the way to beat Ruby Weapon is to NEVER use KOTR on him, and use lots of Ultima...I believe that physical attacks raise his power...just a guess tho.

VI was awesome, VIII was pretty fun, IX blew, I hated X with a passion.

Well FFVII got me into Final Fantsy. I think it was the game that got alot of people inot it. VIII had great graphics in it. I liked both!

FF Tactics was good in both of it's versions (PS/GBA), VIII was awesome... haven't tried IX... X was okay... X2 was a ridiculous game in my opinion... Crystal Chronicles is great until you beat it... just sorta dies after that...

Definately VII but for challenging gameplay it would be VIII. Although they seem to be starting to go downhill like Dirge of Cerberus and the online versions but it still has to greatest RPG ever!!!

Final fantasy XI (online) is actually an amazing game in my opinion. It may cost a lot of money, but if you are a Final Fantasy fan, and can spare 13$ a week, its a great deal.

And i think X was the best. FFVII got me into Final Fantasy, but X is what turned me into a fanboy. =)
