Have you ever done something really silly or funny in your life? I'm sure everyone has done something in their life they can look back on and laugh.
This goes back a few years... when I was young and foolish :D
I was driving a 13ft aluminium boat back from the club, heading home with a friend. It was dark and our torch went flat on the way back so we couldn't see that well. I knew the river well enough to get home but there were a few channel markers that had no lights on them. For those who don't know boats, the channel marker has a coloured light(Red or Green) so you know which side of the marker you should go.
As we got near a marker, I went the wrong side and the motor started to splutter and slow(we were going about 80kmh) so I casually stopped the motor and grabbed an oar thinking we were in shallow water. When I looked over the side I saw we were high and dry on the mud, so we had to get out and push the boat back to the water.
Because of the speed we were doing and the slippery soft mud, we ended up 10 metres away from the water and the mud was nearly waist deep when we got out of the boat. What made it harder was we were both laughing so much we couldn't push the boat properly.
We eventually made it home, covered in mud and definately ready for a drink :D
