You do realise this means war :D.
Its a good score Mick, well done :).
Now I'm going to have to try bloody hard to get my trophy back.
Edit Just got it back. I think I have worked your trick out Mick ;) :D.

Got it back again, not by much though :).
Now I'm off to put mousetraps in, around and under the trophy :D.
Your mousetraps didn't work!!!
I just took the trophy back :D
Something tells me you are already in the arcade trying to beat it :)
I just got the trophy for Jason's Pong as well... you want to try taking that one??? :D

Darn, you beat me again, have to remember to use rat traps next time :D.
I will have yet another go later, eating dinner now.
I'll pass on Jason's pong, tried that game, and am not very good at it.
I think you will need an armed guard to protect that trophy...
But you have to get it back first :D I wonder if we can break the 1,000,000 mark..
I'll have to postpone this war till tomorrow, I need some sleep before work :)
Have fun, don't stay up all night :D

There are now 4 very big armed men guarding the trophy I have just managed to get back, after hours of trying :D.
and yes, we did break the 1.000.000 mark. Wonder how high these scores will go before one of us gives up, or someone else comes in and gets a score neither of us can beat.
I think I will get the Killer rabbit from Monty Pythons Holy Grail to protect my trophy this time.... these scores are getting harder to beat :D
The ball is back in your court :)

It took a ton and a half of carrots, but I finally got past the giant rabbit and grabbed the trophy back :D.
Took a lot of doing though.
Whew!!!
That took some serious concentration!!
I will be putting this trophy into a time capsule and setting it in the concrete foundations of my new house!!! :D
You want you trophy back??
Edit I just counted.... the trophy has exchanged hands 9 times so far :D

I think you may keep it for quite a while this time. I have been trying for hours to better my last score, and can't even get close :D.
Well done MIck :).
I think it would take me a long time to beat that score, it was a really good game where everything went right which doesn't happen very often.
All you need is one bad level and it mucks up your score.
I can give you a few tips on the techniques i'm using if you like.. I think you are doing something similar but not quite the same. I have a feeling from the original scores (Which look pretty pathetic now, I might add), that you are probably better than me at this game.
I've played this game so much i'm starting to see coloured blocks falling on me in my sleep :D
I've got some statistics on the game CRASH DOWN
Before we started this little ongoing challenge the game had been played 40 times... it's up to 100 times at the moment.
The trophy has exchanged hands 9 times since the mod wars started :D
The scoring is as follows
(1st Column=Number of blocks cleared in one mouse click)
(2nd Column=Multiply blocks by this number)
(3rd Column=How many points you get)
3 X 1 _ = 3
4 X 2 _ = 8
5 X 3 _ = 15
6 X 4 _ = 24
7 X 5 _ = 35
8 X 6 _ = 48
9 X 7 _ = 63
10 X 160 = 1600
11 X 180 = 1980
12 X 200 = 2400
13 X 220 = 2860
14 X 240 = 3360
15 X 260 = 3900
So the number of blocks you clear is multiplied by the 2nd column to give you your score, you certainly get a lot more points above 9 blocks!

Ok, after probably 100 games or more, trying to beat Micks highscore, and never getting close, I only have two things to say.
First, I give up :D:D
Second the person who invented this game, and made the darn thing so addictive, should be locked up for the rest of eternity, and fed only on bread and water :D.
It is a very addictive game... i'm sorry to hear you're giving up. I feel bad for taking your trophy. I'm still trying to figure out how I get the really big scores, it seems you just need to be lucky to pick the right colour.
For anyone who wants to get a good score in Crash Down this is what you should be doing(see screen shot below). Ideally the top of the stack should be flat for the most points but this shot is taken with 9 lines to go, so I think I got a lot of blue blocks that level. After you clear the main colour, concentrate on another colour for the rest of that level. I got 460,000 on the level shown below , but I know it's possible to do better.
I need more challengers :D .... anyone up to it?? :p

I've only given up actively trying to beat your score, I'll still play for fun, a lot no doubt, and maybe someday, by a miracle, I may fluke a winner ;):D.
That screenie is what I do try to achieve, but I seem to have the worst luck with the colour I choose to keep and have to break down the stack early at least once most games. That really eats into the score :).

I'm still playing for fun too... did you see my last score, can't get much closer than that :D

I usually let the stack build up a bit first before deciding on a colour, if it's hard to choose then I clear the 2 colours with the most groups so the scattered blocks of the remaining colour come together.
In the screen shot, I should have cleared the two small groups of blue at the highest points, this wouldn't have affected the main group so I could have built it up more. Also normally I would clear the red blocks at the bottom of the 2 highest stacks(in the pic) to allow the blue to build up as high as possible. If I had done that it would be more like 500,000 for the level.
Good luck :)
