Well this is yet another thread unashamedly stolen from Oldgames.nu. Just goes to show I have the imagination of a moose when it come to new thread ideas :D.
The idea of this thread is that it is the local watering hole (or bar, pub, whatever you wish to call it). You can come in, order your favorite drink, alcoholic, or non-alcoholic (we will just imagine a bartender who looks like...umm...Tom Cruise perhaps :D), find a comfy chair, and discuss whatever you like. There is no set topic. You can talk about your day, work, school, friends, family, good or bad, whatever floats your boat really.
I for one, really need a large bundaberg rum and coke after all the typing I have done today. Lost count of the number of new threads. Just hope they will be used now :D.
*takes bundy, and settles into comfy chair in the corner*
I'll have a Jack Daniels and coke thanks....... :D
My story is idiot of the day...
A friend called me today to ask me about a problem with a car stereo he had installed for someone recently. I after listening to his problem I told him to check the wiring. He called me back and said " When I move the fuse holder on the main power wire lots of sparks come out, could this be the problem?"
While on the subject..... I've got a book on stupid things people have done including one about a woman who had heard that soaking your hair in gasoline would get rid of head lice. After soaking her hair and wrapping it in a towel, she decided to go outside for a smoke...... needless to say she lit her last smoke that day!!!!

Well, we are about to have our third or fourth thunderstorm of the day. That adds to the half a dozen we had yesterday and last night. This poor comp has been unplugged, more than its been plugged in over the last 24 hours or so. Not to mention, the parts of Brisbane that have been flooded, and people evacuated. One poor woman spent half of last night perched in a tree, after her car was swept down a, usually very shallow, creek.
Funny "idiot" stories Mick, the one about the woman with petrol in her hair was a good one. I know about kerosene killing nits, but this is the first time I have heard about someone using that, and any person with any sense knows petrol and naked flames don't mix :D:D.
Time for a quick bundy, and then I had better turn this thing off again, unless the weather settles within the next 10 mins or so.

I've seen a bit of whats going on up there in Brisbane on TV. Its been on the news for a few days here in Sydney, thankfully we have nothing like that down here. The worst ive seen here lately was a storm about 3 weeks ago that dropped so much hail it looked like it had been snowing. Once the hail stopped, all the kids came out and started sliding down the road on bodyboards.
Another short story from my book (True Stories).......
A Philadelphia resident wondered what it felt like to be hit by a bullet. So to satisfy his curiousity he picked up his gun and shot himself in the shoulder. An ambulance took him to hospital where he was treated for his injury and released.
Not long after recovering he shot himself again and during the second ambulance ride he was asked why he did it again. He was quoted saying "I wanted to see if it hurt as much as it did the first time".... :D

Oh boy its gone from warm and wet in Brisbane, to hot and dry in the space of two days. I have come to the definate conclusion, that I hate sub-tropical climates, and need to move back down south, as this heat is getting worse every year.
Another funny story Mick, makes me wonder how such stupid people get past childhood :D.
Another funny story Mick, makes me wonder how such stupid people get past childhood :D.
Ive got a whole book of them, supposed to be true stories.... a lot of them are police reports so I guess they must be true... when I first read the book I had a sore stomach from laughing.... :D
I can post more stories if you like.....
Unless you like the cold, its not advisable to move south.
Down here in Sydney, we get temperatures close to zero in winter.
My parents live in the Blue Mountains (High mountains west of Sydney) and they got some snow last winter....
Im not fond of the cold personally and would like to move north..
:D

I like the cold. Am originally from Adelaide. Have almost forgotten what a real winter feels like. Its very funny here in what Queenslanders laughingly call winter. They are all rugged up like eskimo's, and complaining constantly about the cold, at max temps of 18 to 22o. Wonder how they'd cope in 10 to 15o weather:D.
Would love to move back south, only problem is that hubby is a Brisbane boy through and through, and totally refuses to move outside this city, let alone the state.
Definetly keep the stories coming, whenever you wish to post them. They are hilarious.
Move down to Thredbo... nice and cold there... :D
Had a funny sort of a day.. last night someone threw a few molotov cocktails into the local smash repair shop around midnight.. as you can imagine with all the paint and thinners the place went up with a hell of a bang so I didnt get much sleep with the fire brigade making so much noise..
Then a Kangaroo decided to jump out in front of me while I was doing 110kmh down the freeway... somehow it made it across the road without getting hit, but it caused chaos with the traffic... lucky there was no accidents...
a friend of mine once swerved to miss a kangaroo and hit a tree instead, wrote off the car, trailer and two motorbikes......
I dont know if its true or not but I heard that you shouldnt swerve to avoid a animal if its going to cause an accident.. has anyone heard about this???... it sort of makes sense in the way that you shouldnt swerve to miss a dog and then run over a person.... but I always try to miss animals...even birds
Arkacia
11-20-2004, 03:21 AM
Yes, apparently its true that its illegal to swerve your car to miss an animal, and if you cause an accident because you did, you can be charged with dangerous driving, or something like that. Not sure if thats in all states, but I think it is.
My mother hit and killed a dog years ago (I was about 10). It ran out from behind a parked car, and she could'nt avoid it, though she usually goes out of her way (and breaks the law), to avoid hitting animals. Was horrible for me, because I love animals. The car was'nt written off, but the front end was damaged (the dog was a large labrador). My mother was'nt going to do anything to the owners, even though they were in the wrong for letting the dog run free, but the owner came out and abused her so badly, that she took the woman to court and made her pay for the damages to the car.
Just goes to show that if you're in the wrong, it pays to keep your mouth shut :D.
Sorry to hear about your car accident..... I had heard that if your dog runs onto the road and causes an accident the dog owner is liable.. but you would feel bad asking for compensation after you killed their dog...
Another story from my book...
15 June 2002, England
A tree surgeon decided to save time by throwing pruned branches directly into the fire he had built near the base of the tree. He was near the top when one of the branches he dropped landed up against the trunk. The tree consequently caught fire......
Speaking of car accidents....
Sadly a friend and his girlfriend died in a car accident 2 days ago.
They were in a Nissan GTR with someone else driving. The driver who was only 20 and still on his P's, also died when they hit a telegraph pole a high speed.
To all those drivers out there.... especially the young ones.... SLOW DOWN.... speed kills... :(
Carl...... we will all miss you.....

I am sorry to hear about your friend Mick:(.
Saw the aftermath of that horrible crash on the TV. Its such a shame that some young people feel invincible and that bad things won't happen to them. Its also a shame that when it does happen to them, they always seem to have innocent passengers in the car that die with them.

Welll..back in 1995, when I was 18. I had 6 of my friends die in less then a week of each other.
2 of my friends died on the night before ThanksGiving (Funny how I am posting this in the exact day it happen..) well driving home from a party. The were driving down a dirt road when the got to close to the left side and the left/front tire hit a soft spot of dirt/sand and caused the Bronco to flip/rollover 4 or 5 times, crushing both of them and killing them instantly.
8 days later, my 4 other friends died when they decide to do a U-turn on a 4 lane road....and getting hit on the right side by a ford explorer going 55 mph, killing the passager and driver (my friends) and critiacly injuring my 2 friends in the back. They both died hours later. The people driving the Explorer walked aeay from the accident.
I went all 6 funerals, the first funeral I went to was my first funeral I every been to.
The wierd thing is, where my 4 friends died is were I got into a same type of accident in Oct of 1995, one month prior. I was in a truck (sitting bitch, middle if noone knows what that term means..:) )and an older couple turned in front of us. The truck hit them going 55 mph. I hit the windshield(no seatbelt, truck didn't have any) and my 2 other friends weren't all that injured. The 2 elderly couple were killed instantly, and all of this in front of my towns huge hospital...;)
Fun Fun!!
I am sorry to hear about your friend Mick:(.

Thanks Arkacia, I didn't think you would hear the news in Brisbane but I guess it was a pretty bad accident. They were doing about 180kmh and the car broke in half when it hit the pole. The front half went 20m and the two men ended up 60m down the road. My friend did like driving fast and I went with him a few times in his souped up cars but he was a very good driver, he was 33 so he had experience. But I must admit I was a bit of a leadfoot when I was younger so I understand why young people like to drive fast despite it being so stupid. I guess we were all young and dumb at some stage in our lives.
The accident has actually sparked a debate over road safety for young drivers. There is talk of introducing a night curfew for young drivers but I dont think that would happen, people are arguing about the fact that many young people work at night and have to drive. Personally I think a better educational campaign would be good. I think showing people pictures of accidents are a good way to shock young people into realising the reality of speeding. Also I think it should be compulsory to do an advanced driver training course. Practice on the skidpan is what many people need to be prepared for what happens on the roads, because even if you drive slowly and carefully, there will be someone else who is not.
Anyway I just wanted to post that message as a sort of tribute..... and hopefully help other people become more aware of what can happen..
Sorry to hear about your friends Shaggy... thats pretty bad luck... cars can be so dangerous... im going to the funeral on Tuesday, it going to be my first......take care

NOTE: Please take time to read this slowly. If you pay attention to the first two judges, the reaction of the third judge is even better. For those of you who have lived in Texas, you know how true this is. They actually have a Chili Cook-off about the time of Halloween comes around. It takes up a major portion of a parking lot at the San Antonio City Park.
The notes below are from an inexperienced Chili taster named Frank, who was visiting from Springfield, IL.
Frank: "Recently, I was honored to be selected as s judge at a chili cook-off. The original person called in sick at the last moment and I happened to be standing there at the judge's table asking for directions to the Coors Light duct tape mobile, when the call came in. I was assured by the other two judges (Native Texans) that the chili wouldn't be all that spicy and, besides, they told me I could have free beer during the tasting, so I accepted."
Here are the scorecards from the advent: - (Frank is Judge #3).
CHILI #1 - EDDIE'S MANIAC MONSTER CHILI .
Judge #1: -- A little too heavy on the tomato. Amusing kick.
Judge #2: -- Nice, smooth tomato flavor, very mild.
Judge #3: -- (Frank) Holy s**t, what the hell is this stuff? You could remove dried paint from your driveway. Took me two beers to put the flames out. I hope that's the worst one. These Texans are crazy.
CHILI #2 - AUSTIN'S AFTERBURNER CHILI.
Judge #1: -- Smoky, with a hint of pork. Slight jalapeno tang.
Judge #2: -- Exciting BBQ flavor, needs more peppers to be taken seriously.
Judge #3: -- Keep this out of the reach of children. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to taste besides pain. I had to wave off two people who wanted to give me the Heimlich maneuver. They had to rush in more beer when they saw the look on my face.
CHILI #3 - RONNY'S FAMOUS BURN DOWN THE BARN CHILI.
Judge #1: -- Excellent firehouse chili. Great kick. Needs more beans.
Judge #2: -- A beanless chili, a bit salty, good use of peppers.
Judge #3: -- Call the EPA. I've located a uranium spill. My nose feels like I have been snorting Drano. Everyone knows the routine by now. Get me more beer before I ignite. Barmaid pounded me on the back, now my backbone is in the front part of my chest. I'm getting s**t-faced from all of the beer.
CHILI #4 - DAVE'S BLACK MAGIC.
Judge #1: -- Black bean chili with almost no spice. Disappointing.
Judge #2: -- Hint of lime in the black beans. Good side dish for fish or other mild foods. Not much of a chili.
Judge #3: -- I felt something scraping across my tongue, but was unable to taste it. Is it possible to burn out taste buds? Sally, the barmaid was standing behind me with fresh refills. That 300-lb woman is starting to look HOT. just like this nuclear waste I'm eating! Is chili an aphrodisiac?
CHILI #5 - LISA'S LEGAL LIP REMOVER.
Judge #1: -- Meaty, strong chili. Cayenne peppers freshly ground, adding considerable kick. Very impressive.
Judge #2: -- Chili using shredded beef could use more tomato. Must admit the cayenne peppers make a strong statement.
Judge #3: -- My ears are ringing, sweat is pouring off my forehead and I can no longer focus my eyes. I farted and four people behind me needed paramedics. The contestant seemed offended when I told her that her chili had given me brain damage. Sally saved my tongue from bleeding by pouring beer directly on it from the pitcher. I wonder if I'm burning my lips off. It really pisses me off that the other judges asked me to stop screaming.
CHILI #6 - PAM'S VERY VEGETARIAN VARIETY.
Judge #1: -- Thin yet bold vegetarian variety chili. Good balance of spices and peppers.
Judge #2: -- The best yet. Aggressive use of peppers, onions, and garlic. Superb.
Judge #3: -- My intestines are now a straight pipe filled with gaseous, sulfuric flames. I s**t on myself when I farted and I'm worried it will eat through the chair. No one seems inclined to stand behind me except that Sally. Can't feel my lips anymore. I need to wipe my a$$ with a snow cone.
CHILI #7- CARLA'S SCREAMING SENSATION CHILI.
Judge #1: -- A mediocre chili with too much reliance on canned peppers. Judge #2: -- Ho hum, tastes as if the chef literally threw in a can of chili peppers at the last moment. ** I should take note that I am worried about Judge #3. He appears to be in a bit of distress as he is cursing uncontrollably.
Judge #3: -- You could put a grenade in my mouth, pull the pin, and I wouldn't feel a thing. I've lost sight in one eye, and the world sounds like it is made of rushing water. My shirt is covered with chili, which slid unnoticed out of my mouth. My pants are full of lava to match my shirt. At least during the autopsy, they'll know what killed me. I've decided to stop breathing, it's too painful. Screw it, I'm not getting any oxygen anyway. If I need air, I'll just suck it in through the 4-inch hole in my stomach.
CHILI #8 - KAREN'S TOENAIL CURLING CHILI.
Judge #1: -- The perfect ending, this is a nice blend chili. Not too bold but spicy enough to declare its existence.
Judge #2: -- This final entry is a good, balanced chili. Neither mild nor hot. Sorry to see that most of it was lost when Judge #3 farted, passed out, fell over, and pulled the chili pot down on top of him. Not sure if he's going to make it. Poor feller, wonder how he'd have reacted to really hot chili?
I had a good laugh over that one.... :D
I think youre right, time to move on...think happy thoughts.. :D

Time to revive this thread.
No bar thread should ever end up on the second page of a forum :D.
Its been raining in Brisbane for about 6 days straight. Does anyone know how to clean mold off a wall? Between the humidity and dampness, I feel like I am living in a swamp, not a major Australian city :D.
Ah well, I'll grab a quick cyber bundy and coke, then get back to work.

I'm living in an on campus apartment and they moved us out for about a month into a hotel while they cleaned out mold thatw as making us sick-- "black mold" So I lived in the Hilton for 3 and a half weeks--It caught fire while we were there. Also I got into an accident going fromt he hotel to school one day and then at 3 am there was a deer that tried to jump in front of my car on the highway. It was a weird month
Hi there bartender..... i'll have a JD and coke
Merry Xmas everyone!!!!

We had a pretty wild storm here in Sydney, there was a lot of wind and hail damage. We got a fair bit of hail here, some of it was pretty big as you can see in the photo(They melted a bit, one is clear and the other is white like snow), although the hail was bigger in other places. My neighbour had her skylight broken and there were lots of cars driving around with smashed windscreens.
Arkacia
02-02-2005, 07:21 AM
Hmm, dead bartender, that explains the smell. No wonder nobody has been in here lately :D.
Wow, big hailstones. Makes the nasty storm we had tonight seem like a gentle shower, though we on the north side rarely get the worst of the storms, the south side cops it bad most of the time. Seems that Sydney is getting worse and worse storms over the last 10 years or so. Wonder if that has anything to do with global warming.
I went to visit a friend who lives about 10km away and they had it even worse there. The hail was a big as a cricket ball, both his skylights were smashed, sheet metal awnings were riddled with dents and his car rear window was smashed. He got a quote for the hail damage... $6000 and thats a rough quote! I'm glad my car isn't that bad, i'm insured anyway but he wasn't because he is young and it would cost him $2500 a year and $1800 excess for a claim.
It's funny you mention the weather getting worse because I said the same thing to someone today. We had another hail storm about a month ago that dropped so much hail it looked like it had been snowing and the kids were surfing down the road on their bodyboards.

Another interesting titbit I found on one of my other forums.
It made me laugh and think.
The author has a bit of a point.
People over 35 should be dead. Here's why:
According to today's do gooders and lefty councillors , those of us who were kids in the 40's, 50's, 60's, or even maybe the early 70's probably shouldn't have survived.
Our baby cots were covered with bright coloured lead-based paint.
We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets, ... and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets. (Not to mention the risks we took hitchhiking.)
As children, we would ride in cars with no seatbelts or air bags.
Riding in the back of a pickup truck on a warm day was always a special treat.
We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle. Horrors!
We ate cakes, bread and butter, and drank fizzy pop with sugar in it, but we were never overweight because we were always outside playing.
We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle, and no one actually died from this.
We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then rode down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes.
After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.
We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the street lights came on.
No one was able to reach us all day. NO MOBILE PHONES!!!!! U n t h i n k a b l e !
We did not have Playstations, Nintendo 64, X-Boxes, no video games at all, no 99 channels on cable, video tape movies, DVD's, surround sound, personal mobile phones, personal computers, or Internet chat rooms.
We had friends!
We went outside and found them.
We played murder ball and British bulldog, and sometimes, it would really hurt.
We fell out of trees, got cut and broke bones and teeth, and there were no lawsuits from these accidents. They were accidents. No one was to blame but us. Remember accidents?
We had fights and punched each other and got black and blue and learned to get over it.
We made up games with sticks and tennis balls and ate worms, and although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes, nor did the worms live inside us forever.
We rode bikes or walked to a friend's home and knocked on the door, or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them.
The school football team had trials and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment!
Some students weren't as smart as others, so they failed an exam and were held back to repeat the same exam. Horrors!
Tests were not adjusted for any reason. Our actions were our own. Consequences were expected.
The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke a law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law.
Imagine that!
This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers and problem solvers and inventors, ever.
The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.
We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.
Congratulations...so far...so good!
Hoorah for those of us who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before lawyers and government regulated our lives, “for our own good !!!!!”
Leetuania,
Minister of Immigration and Recruitment for England
It does make you think, doesn't it? Life has certainly changed a lot, for better or worse.
I can relate to the go-kart bit, in our case though, we didn't forget the brakes.... we just decided we didn't need brakes. :)

I remember the going out in the morning, and not coming home until the street lights came on. We did that all the time. The mention of British bulldog brought back memories of the games we played on the primary school oval at lunch time too. Never did build a go-kart though, but my brothers did, and they did forget the brakes :D:D.

Ok queeny, here's your pint, but as you are underage, its a pint of lemonade :D.
I'm on hubby's computer this morning, because I managed to almost kill mine last night. Imagine the panic of a comp newbie, who tries to reinstall windows XP (after a nasty prob), and the thing won't install past the bios setup screen, and the windows boot disk in the drive is'nt working.
I have absloutly no idea exactly how I did it, but was finally able to get the windows boot disk to start up, and my comp is in the process of a reformat as I type. Hopefully, when I go to reinstall windows again, on an empty hard drive this time, it'll work without any probs. Then I have fun going on the install this, restart, install that, restart merry go round :).
I did change one little thing in the bios (which I know very little about), that may have helped things work again, I just hope it won't stuff everything up when the XP install starts. All fingers are crossed :D.
Edit - Oh well, it did'nt work, still only gets so far and brings up that bloody error message. Back to fiddling around I guess, either that, or throw the rotten thing away :D.

A super Moderator. Let's see. Well, a moderator is someone who views all new posts for the forum they moderate and checks that they fit with any rules etc. They also do a little bit of tidying on the forum, sticking threads to the top etc.
A super moderator moderates ALL forums, so they have one hell of a lot more to do usually. Generally speaking super moderators are really nice people [provided the board is sensible and admin picks sensibly]. Given that I've known Prideth [EDIT: Arkacia] for all of perhaps just over a year [or is it 2?] I'll vouch for her being a nice person

Welcome to the RG inn Lex. I'm not surprised it looks a bit familiar, as I did steal the idea from....someone :).
Well, the computer works again, at least so far, so good.
Still brings up the error messages (something about floppy disk(s) error (40), but I only have to press F1 and up pops my desktop. I'll take what I can get :D.
Don't worry about the name thing, I'm 99% positive that someone on OG got a "don't do that" pm signed by Arkacia :D.
Hehe..
Well, usually that means the floppy disk hasn't been recognised. This is often caused by the floppy disk cable connector not being plugged into the back of the drive properly or not being plugged into mobo properly. :)

And what comes to Super Moderators... Well, I am not just so sure about the niceness & workload they do... o_O Perhaps it's just me...
And you're absolutely right about the smilylimit... My first post here
contained more smilys that was allowed :| :re:
Edit: When I said SMs are not necessarily so nice and all, I was not talking about Archie... :|
Edit 2 Nor can I really talk about nick, since I dont really know him
Edit 3 .... Sorry, Mick, not Nick :| >< No we don't have any vending machines here, because we used to have a live barman, but he died of boredom :D.
I guess its time to find a new one, though my standards are a bit too high for most of the applicants. He must be a he, tall, good looking and single :D:D
Perhaps you could loan us MazBot for a while?
I promise it won't be abused in any way here, as there is no Bloodnok to paint it pink, no Dot to dent it etc. Just program it to run if it sees Lex coming anywhere near it with a box of matches.
PS, I've asked about increasing the smilie limit. Had to take the ones out of your quote, so I could leave them in my post.
Edit - I just made sense what you mean by "Archie".
There must be some kind of law against being "Maznicked" on two sites :D
Edit 2 Nor can I really talk about nick, since I dont really know him
Edit 3 .... Sorry, Mick, not Nick :| ><
Yeah get it right :D , my nick is Mick, not Nick and my mick is not Nick,Mick ..... damn i'm confused now :D
You don't know me cause I sit quietly at the back with my JD and Coke.... probably sleeping with my eyes open (I know someone who does that... it's pretty freaky) :)
I don't know you either 2xGuest426, but if you're from Oldgames i'm sure Arkacia has some dirt on you! :D

What comes to lending the bot... I am sorry, but I cant :| It decided it's more safe to steal the keys of THE safe, and now I cant get it out. And knowing the dangers of it's life, I cant blame it :D
Law against being MazNicked®© ???
but but but... I provide only High Quality nicks...

Okay.. So your Nick is not nick, or actually nick of course is nick, but it isn't nick. I mean you're ... Bah. Or if I quote Luthie, it's "meh, fneh, fnieh".
From now on thou shall be called *ick. Be proud of being one of those MazNicked®© :p :grin_(not that most evil one tho):

I mean Archie knows me from there, and I know her :p What comes to having "dirt on" me.. Sorry, I am not native english speaker, so that phrase is unknown for me, but what comes to dirt... I bet Archie has enough dirty guinness stains at home, no need to get extra dirt by me :P :P

Having dirt on someone means knowing all or some of their dirty secrets or bad habits, and being, perhaps, willing to share them :D:D.
Don't worry, since I don't know any "dirt" on you, so you're safe, and even if I did, I do know how to keep a secret, so no-one else would ever know :D.

What is the MazBot?
I'll have to let 2xGuest426 explain that one, as he is responsible for creating that paticular monst...I mean bot :D.
Though if you are on IRC at the right time, you will find out big time, as MazBot visits occasionally.
Oh well, if MazBot is'nt available to work here, and I do understand the reason (poor bot), I'll just have to find another victim. Maybe Brad Pitt is available :).

MazBot...
Well, what it really is?
From couple of rows of terribly buggy mIRC scripts it has become in minds of some oldgames.nu users a legend
It is believed to be serving drinks&food in oldgames "bar". It is believed to be kicked, whacked, smacked & painted in pink during this task. It is also been accused to unfair charging of customers
Where did all begin then?
Well oldgames.nu users decided to put up an IRC channel. First the channel they did was not registered, so it couldn't use channel services (like chanserv, nickserv etc.). That was when I did first version of MazBot... IE a mirc script containing perhaps 3 rows of txt, to automatically op certain people when they joined, and I left it online. That way no people could not take over the channel so easily..
Well, once I got that disease of scripting, (I had never scripted a thing with mIRC before, and it took me LONG to find out how to do the auto op...) I wanted to learn more. So I slowly and painfully added some "drink orders" (IE "funny" comments) in the MazBot, then a SUPER HYPER ANNOYING welcomemessage, which in theory could be disabled by user... In theory. Well, actually disabling did not really work too well, (and still doesn't if one has changing host name) and that resulted some people to ignore whole bot, and others to start threating it... (now you perhaps understand the kicking, smacking whacking etc, as well as why it decided to retire in my locked safe...)
Well, during perhaps a year, I sometimes had inspiratin to add something into it, and almost as often lost the inspiraton before addon actually worked.... That's why on oldgames IRC stats page nick "testing" has the "potty mouth trophy"...
Well, anyways, during the year, I managed to finish some things that now are included in MazBot, like anagramgame, triviagame, dice... and something else that even I have forgotten... And in addition to that, theres leftovers from at least as many unfinished features still in the script :p
So the bot is... Buggy. And the script is .... Messy.
But what's the most important, many members of oldgames.nu have had some fun moments in IRC, thanks to the bot :D And perhaps if I one day in my life get in the situation when I have lots of time, and nothing to do with it, I will do a MazBot v. 3 :D
So.. What is MazBot...
I can't really answer to that, because it is something totally different for each user, depending on how they have faced it. People that have only heard about it in "The Bar" - thread probably assume it is just a story. Some people that have visited in IRC at #oldgames when it was newly found, thinks its just something that ops Maz & Lex & some others. Some recently joined members, who are new to IRC, not to mention bots, may think it's cool (okay, I admitt.. That's just a dream of mine :D...). Then there's people like Luthie, who all the time tell it to "sod off" or "go f*** yourself"..
And then there am I..
For me it's a legend

It seems this bar needs a doorman to keep an eye on the underage drinkers. Maybe Major Payne (if you've ever seen the movie, you know exactly who I mean), is available and willing to do the job :D.
As its only 6am, I'll just have extra strong coffee to wake me up a bit. If the spoon disolves, its the right strength.

Very tired today, after falling asleep at 5pm yesterday afternoon, waking up again just after 12.30am, and not being able to fall asleep again. Ended up spending most of the night playing in the arcade here, and chatting to people on the IRC :).
Edit - Good news everyone. The images per post (which includes smilies) has been increased from 4 to 15 :).

Happy Birthday Arkacia
Hope you have a great birthday Arkacia :)

Ok, you spammers, how about taking this little bun fight to the RG inn .
OK... I've brought it over to the RG Inn so we're not spamming but now i'm multi posting... oops... hope noone notices:D
and 2xGuest426, just a quiet wisper, hide the nailgun under your cloak, in fact, I suspect you could fit your entire arsenal under there, Mick will never know, and I promise to never tell
Have you forgotten that you appointed Major Payne as our doorman so he will search you on the way in... and boy does he search thoroughly.... he doesn't keep those rubber gloves in his back pocket for nothing:D
Have you ever wondered what it feels like to hang from the roof 1 meter from the floor for a week, getting nothing else but tea to drink. And having a opened barrel of beer 50 cm below you, & 48 cm long straw
If you keep doing that, you'll find it out...
I don't mind hanging around sometimes:D ..... Nothing but tea?? ....nooooooo :D
I think after hanging from the ceiling for a while my body should stretch an extra 2cm for a drink... especially if it's beer:D

AHHH! a nice, friendly bar-like place!
beware of the bars! You might just get an infestation like oldgames.nu!
one of our local legends says that it takes a full day to crawl through 'em all!
meanwhile, I hear there is a bartending job avalible?
I already bartend for the spanish and tea\canadian bars in oldgames.nu, whast better reference could you get?
anyhow . ..
well, actually, thats all i have to say for now.
meanwhile, I hear there is a bartending job avalible?
I already bartend for the spanish and tea\canadian bars in oldgames.nu, whast better reference could you get?
There certainly is a job going though I should warn you our last bartender died of boredom a while ago so it's been self serve since then.
At the moment we have Major Payne guarding the front door and I noticed a mention of Brad Pitt as well. I'm not sure what he's doing... maybe sitting around looking pretty to get more girls into the bar but I don't think it's working.
*looks out front door for anyone coming*
ahhh... I see the problem... our dyslexic signwriter has painted "Bard Tipp" on our sign which would explain why there are no girls coming:D .... It's also explains why people have been dumping their rubbish here:D
Arkacia
03-01-2005, 12:14 AM
Sure Freakums, if you want the bar job, its all yours. Brad Pitt is supposed to be bartender, but refuses to serve any males :).
Just remember though, the shotgun under the bar is not for show. We don't have tabs here, and everybody, without exception, pays. Unlike OGs bar, ours does'nt have cobwebs in the cash register :p:D.
You don't need to worry about Major Payne anymore, I've decided to fire him, as he keeps threatening to shave the bar kitten. As you can see in the pic below, the poor thing is feeling very victimised, and has taken to hiding in pots. Its not the kittens fault that he mistook Major Paynes army hat for a litter tray :D:D.
I have been cursing Half Life 2 for the problems I have with it getting updates all the time. After getting very frustrated with "Steam" by this problem and then not being able to contact them by email. To do this you need to login but it would not let me login(it said Invalid Password) to complain but I could still change my password and login to play.
Finally I looked on the Sierra site and contacted their support crew. They sent me this email...
Dear Michael,
If you do not wish to receive updates for Half-Life 2, you can turn off the automatic updates.
I can turn off updates so they say.....
*
To turn off the Half-Life 2 updates, open steam, got to play games, right click Half-Life 2 and click properties. Change your Automatic Updates to "Do not automatically update this game" you can do this for any of the games you have installed through steam.
Steam will continue to update itself with small updates as is stated withing the terms and agreement of you games licence, agreed to when you registered your game with steam.
OK.. so even if I turn off the updates... I still get SMALL updates.... yeah that makes sense
*
If you do not wish to use your game online, you can use the offline mode feature of this game.
So I can play offline without it trying to connect to Steam... is this too good to be true?
*
To run your game offline, connect to the internet, allow all downloads to complete, go to the properties of your Half-Life 2 game. Make sure your game says:
Status: Ready to play
Amount Aquired: 100%
Offline Mode Ready
Once these are checked, exit steam (do not logout) then disconnect your internet connection. Now re-open steam and select play offline.
So let me get this right... to play offline I still have to connect to download crap, check settings and status at STEAM, exit, disconnect, open STEAM again and select Offline...... WOW it's that simple!!!.. yes i'm being sarcastic. With all the technology available they came up with this system??? Maybe they should check the dictionary to see what Offline means :p

Hmm, not too sure I like the idea of people using their OG tabs for RG drinks. That means if they ever pay their OG tabs, the barowner over there is going to get a little windfall, by getting the money the boozers actually owe over here (and if you can make sense if what I just wrote, I'll give you a cookie) ;):D.

I sent them a brief letter with a generous offer, I gave them written permission to deduct $100,000 from my winnings to keep and send me the remaining $200,000.

there was one brillant one that I admired. It promised so much money, then said then after receiveing the money, you would have to pay some charges relating to international law, as well as a 15% charge. real laws. And when you add the 15% charge, you end up paying an additional 5%. I believe most of the laws apply only to certain cases, and this pleasent scammer made sure it looked liek they applied to this case. except for the fact that it really looks like someone is trying to scam you, it would have been genius.

What's happening here?, not much at the moment.
Though Baldie's been working for the last few days, but is about to have 4 days straight off, so anything can happen (must remember to hide the key to the guiness storeroom:)).
I've been a bit busy on the "other side" (OG) for the last couple of days. I did something very silly, and volunteered to look after a "certain forum" until the new admin could find someone better. I'm glad to hear you did well in that project Freakums :).
Now whats been happening in my part of the world today?, answer is, not much. The sun is shining (as usual  ), the birds are making an awful racket, and the traffic zooming past the house is a bit worse than usual. Other than that, everything is good :).
I'll have a double bundy please Freakums, and hold the coke :D.
WoW Miccky :) I assume you do not happen to live near Baldie? If you did, that would've probably been him... He always tries to do something so extreme, that no one notices his baldness :D :D I assume you didnt paid much attention to the driver's hairs, so looks like he succeeded once again
Oh god, I wonder what the lecture keeper would think, if I ordered a whisky, and started to drink it... My god how boring Fortranlecture this is... :|
Hmm, I hope you have your safe handy, because I think you're going to need it once a certain someone reads this :D:D.

well, I am a bit sour about the science fair, which I blame ona degree of imcompetency in the judges part. I didn;t place, but thats not what enraged me.
a qoute from th3e interview part, with the judges:
Judges: so what does (insert name of herb) do?
Me and partener: well, we didn;t go into specific herbs because there are millions of plants and herbs. We concentrated more on the history,m science, and gneral parts of the science.
Judges: So what does Rubharb stalk do?
Me: STAB-ITY!
I don;t agree at all with whom the judges picked for best projects and all that. The person who got best in fair DLed a program from the net, connected a few wires, and won best in fair. And it was just a simpel street lgith program, anyhow. You could tell it was dled by looking at it. several ways:
1)the pop-up that declared it a trail version
2)the website provided at the bottom of the window
3)the credits!
due to the poor judging, I doubty any of the peopel whpo get to g to the regionals are going to make it farther, except possily for Allan, who grew yeast in different condiotions, such as varying levelks of acidity.
eniough rantingl like I siad, I'm not really angry. After all: I got a good mark from my science teacher, 97% and my partener got slightly less!
/me orders a screech

I had a good Bday, and it's a pleasure to see it was remembered :D
And Archie, although I love cakes and all, but a bot doing it is a bit... How should I say it? Wierd. Bot that is doing some good things is just abnormal :p I hope you at least made sure the cake was charged on certain someone's bartab? :p
And Bald... Being nice to me... That's even more abnormal.. Perhaps Archie should put you in bed to rest a bit... You've been working too hard again. Obviously your old body cannot handle all that stress anymore :D (Bah. I'm lousy, I cant even say thank you without being nasty.. O_o )
Anyways, thanks all, I appreciate your words :) And Miccky, I answeed also in my pages, and I did see your message there, before I saw any msgs in RG or OG.. :p So you were right...
And If yo have any particular thing about mIRC scripts in your mind, that I should explain better, please tell me. I would love to heard, so I could improve my pages. Also if you think I should add something, please let me know :)

Don't worry about the bot doing anything dire to the cake. I reprogrammed it to be extra nice for a tempory period. It will revert back to its usual nasty self in a few days. Might keep it around the bar though. It can serve the drinks when Freakums is off duty :D.

Its been quiet in here today, think I've counted only 6 different members online all day :D.
We finally had some rain in Brisbane today, though of course the ruddy sun came out again straight after it stopped. At least my brown lawn will turn green again over the next few days.

YAY! I crossed the magical limit ^_^
over 100 visitors at my pages :D
Perhaps the next goal should be 200? And Priddie, I'm running out of ideas to what to put in there O_o Any suggestions anyone? :)
Hi there people:)...time for a JD to relax at the end of the week. TFIF..Thank god it's Friday:D... now I have time to play Diablo 2 again, I bought the expansion disc recently so there is some new stuff for me:)
Well it has been a long tiring week, been raining for the last couple of days but we desperately need it.
Congratulations on the milestone passed 2xGuest426;).... the big 100!!!
I've got a few old fridge magnets that I was throwing out when I thought.... we could have a game with these... so I brought them into the bar with me so we can have some fun. The aim of the game is to throw the fridge magnet at Bot and you score a point if it sticks:D, an extra point is awarded if Bot is moving at the time.
Anyone for a game?

Perhaps the next goal should be 200? And Priddie, I'm running out of ideas to what to put in there O_o Any suggestions anyone? :) 1st, congrats on reaching the 100 hits milestone, to celebrate, you can have all your drinks on the house (well, on the various tabs therein) for the weekend :D.
and idea's....hmm....well there is something, you've done that is worth sharing, and thats how you set up and did your page/site :).
The reason I'm suggesting this, is because about a week ago, I discovered my isp inlcuded a free hosted personal web page/site with our internet package, so I decided to take advantage of the offer, and use it. Only prob for a comp noob like me, is that I don't know where to start. Have been doing a lot (and I mean a lot) of reading, and html studying, but still a bit lost :rolleyes:.
Just an idea for something to add :):).
I like the fridge magnet game, though the bot has a bad habit of eating the ones that hit it. Maybe time for a bit more reprogramming :D.

that new game of yours is very strangely addictive. I have scored exactly tyhree out of thirteen hundred oh-six. I think the bot is starting to thinkmi;'m food or sdometrhign, though!
I think I will have a quick JD thanks Freakums:)
It looks like I may need to bring some more fridge magnets, we are running a bit low because Bot keeps eating them. I wonder if I can tape it's mouth shut with this roll of duct tape:D
I haven't been posting much lately cause i've been hooked on playing Diablo 2 onlinne the last few weeks. Boy, is it easter already. Not paid any attention to it this year. When your not a Christian, or a child, it does'nt seem to have any meaning. Hmm, in my case, laziness, and busyness I guess :).
Have spent the last two days making my first set of forum markers and buttons for one of my Nationstates regions offsite invisionfree forum. They're pretty simplistic and crappy IMO (though the admin seems to like them), but are my first attempt at doing this type of thing, and I'm rather proud of them.

Hi there people:)
It has been quiet here hasn't it, my excuse for not posting is work and World of Warcraft. I just bought WoW recently so I have been spending a lot of time playing that.
You are cetainly right about commercialised chocolate day Arkacia. It seems they wheel out the easter eggs just after they take the Christmas decorations away. There is also a lot of advertising about easter eggs, i'm sure most kids these days would just think easter was about getting chocolate. I wonder how many know what easter is really about.
And who thought up all this easter stuff anyway? Why is there an easter bunny when rabbits don't lay eggs, certainly not chocolate ones. Why don't we have an Easter snake? They lays eggs and eat them too:D

Hi peoples :D :D
Guinness please Barman :D :D
Now for something really important :D
It seems that there is present somene who should be able to spell better, however this can be easily remedied, from now on whenever Freakums misspells, uses incomprehensible words and or Grammar, he shouts everyones drinks at the Inn for a 24 hour period from his post containing the misspelling :D :D. Further infringements merely extend the period he shouts our drinks :D :D
As I am a very nice person most of the time  I will listen to any worthwhile arguements as to why this should not happen, however I feel that this minor little penalty should add a little spice to our lives :D :D

I do think however that Baldie is going too far doing this to you in two drinking establishments, and I am trying to nag him into letting you off in one or the other, though so far my nags have fallen on deaf ears. I promise to keep trying however :o.

Ahh what a day, had a difficult job today, then I nearly got crushed by a very big truck who put his indicator on for no reason at a roundabout. I see people all the time who turn, change lanes, pull over, etc without using their indicators but this is the first time i've seen a truck driver, who should know what he is doing, put on his right turn indicator to go straight ahead. He also decided he wanted both lanes as well which didn't give me much room.

Hey HinesDaMan I like your pic in the funny pictures thread.....one thing though, shouldn't both the arrows on the sign be pointing in the same direction?:D
Glad you survived your encounter with the stupid truck driver Mick. Its the ones like him, that give them all a bad name.
I do drive a lot and will admit that most truck drivers are very good. The most common bad thing I see truck drivers doing is tailgating a car. What amazes me is how many people don't use indicators at a roundabout. I have learned that you should expect a car with no indicator on to go any direction, I have seen it happen so many times I don't trust anyone now.... better to be safe than sorry
Edit LOL... I just posted this message and saw a big bright ad for confessions online where you can go confess your sins:D I wonder if that sort of thing upsets christians...isn't that cheating a bit if you don't go to church?

Hey, if you two are going to start a full scale war, please take it outside :).
The RG inn is a place of culture, intelligent conversation, quiet reflection and.....who am I kidding, rip roaring rowdy drunks, and violent bar fights..sigh .
If this sort of thing is going to become a regular occurance, then I think its time Baldie brings his work crew over from OG, and builds a special "brawl" room, where these disputes can be sorted out by the parties concerned, without them disturbing the other customers ;).
Maybe its time to introduce this poem to RG. I posted it on OG ages ago. Its a cleaned up version of a song. Wonder if Freakums and Baldie can do better than this, somehow I doubt it :D:D.
THE BAR FIGHT
You could feel a blue was brewing, as they eyed each other off
and the tension only mounted, when Snakey won the toss
"you break" he said to Lofty as he chucked across a cue
and the tension in the pub just grew and grew
"I'll break alright", said Lofty as he snaped the cue in half
and tossed it back at Snake and said "I ain't that ruddy daft"
"me Nanna gave me that", said Snakey, "mate you're bloody gone"
and the featherbrain championship was on
It was the front bar, featherbrain, non-title fight
two blokes the size of buffalo, big but not too bright
and no-one cares the slightest bit, who was wrong or right
in the frontbar, featherbrain, non-title fight
No-one seemed to know too much about their pedigrees
in this sort of place, you did'nt ask them sort of things
they said Lofty's from the top end, he was ugly strong and mean
used a welder's wire brush to scrub his teeth
and Snake was just plain ugly, where he come from no-one knew
reckon Rambo would have run a mile, if Snakey told him too
and togther they weighed half a ton in singlets, shorts and thongs
well there was no-one home, but all the lights were on
The breeze near knocked me over when Snake threw the opening punch
it seemed to come from nowhere, I just heard heard a sickening crunch
I thought, if anybody lives through that, they're pretty bloody good
was like a railway fettlers hammer hitting wood
It knocked Lofty against the 8ball table, and tipped it on its edge
but he just got up, calmly walked around and snapped off all the legs
then one by one, he smashed them over Snakey's ugly head
and if his brain were'nt so well padded, he'd be dead
But Snake just shook his scone, blinked a bit and slowly looked around
then threw a right that would have knocked the Eiffel tower down
and the force of it sent Lofty bumbling, stumbling through the wall
now there's a doorway, where there were'nt one there before
He landed head down in the dunny, with his legs all in the air
with brushes, towels and harpic, and paper everywhere
and covered with this and that, he ripped the dunny off the wall
and armed with that, and stuff all brains, came back for more
He smashed that dunny over Snakey's head, shattering it too bits
peppering them with porcelain, and killing half their nits
and there were teeth amoung the muck and stuff, whose the were you could'nt tell
but it looked like Lofty lost an ear as well
and Snake's right eye was swollen shut, where he'd copped one hard
fair dinkem mate, it looked as black as a certain playing card
but with all the pieces missing, and with all the blood and gore
they were'nt as bloody ugly as before.
There was mud and hair, and skin, and bone, and blood splashed on the wall
with those two losers wallowing in it, rolling accross the floor
and the publican just scratched his head, wondering looking round
should he clean the darn place up, or burn it down
Most blues you see turn out to be a win, or loss, or draw
but stuffed if I've seen both opponents lose a fight before
and I heard Snakey say to Lofty as they crawled toward the bar
"forget the snooker, want a game of darts?"

Have you got ID??...... even a fake ID will do
Encouraging the underage members to use fake ids Mick? tsk tsk .

Naaaa... theres nothing fake about those IDs....

Besides... the doorman is having trouble reading the ID's at the moment... he mentioned something about having trouble seeing them lately....can't think why:D:D

Hi peoples :D :D
Guinness please
And who cares about ID's anyway- here in Aus legal drinking age is 18, in some European countries it is even younger for beer drinkers :D :D
And as for underage drinkers- well that is their choice, however anyone who admits to being underage can help Freakums pay his Inntab, which at all accounts is growing even larger :D   :D

Bah I think they're both in hiding. Prob a good thing in a way. I can imagine that fight would be so horrendous it would take weeks just to clean up the blood. Either that or they both plan to use their rapier wits as a weapon and are still unarmed :D.
Then of course there is also the fact the bartender has gone AWOL and the bot I stole from OG is on strike campaigning for a higher oil allowence (which I won't give it, darn uppity peice of metal) so the inn is a little short of beer and we all know what Baldie's and 2xGuest426's opinions are about that :).
Anyway for now I'll line some beers up on the bar and whoever finds them first gets them. Will fix that bots wagon tomorrow. Wonder if throwing a spanner in its works will do anything interesting :D

I can turn that pushy bot off now and put it back in its closet where it belongs. If it doesn't start behaving itself I'll let Baldie paint it pink again :D.
I see the free normal beer didn't work getting 2xGuest426 and Baldie to come out of the woodwork and fight out their differences. Perhaps if I lined lots of glasses of guinness and whatever 2xGuest426's favorite is (can't remember off hand), that'll have more effect. If not I can't think what else to try....a BBQ perhaps with lots of different cuts of dead animals? :p:D.

*gives 2xGuest426 the drink he asked for. Don't know what it is but it looks like rocket fuel*
Baldie isn't allowed to help carry the barrels anymore. He complained once that they were too heavy so emptied them on the truck first. The other customers complained about that so I had to ban him from being within 100 kilometers of the RG inn on delivery days :D.
He's been busy lately with games lately so thats why he's been a no-show here but I'll try to nag him into posting soon.

Went outside this morning and noticed the hail pile beside the back landing had finally melted. Brisbane got hit by a very nasty storm 3 or 4 nights ago. Hailstones the size of golf balls. Our windows survived (don't know how) but the trees and bushes were all stripped of half their leaves. The hail covering the ground looked very pretty though. The closest we'll ever get to snow :D.

It's been hectic here the last few days. I have a band camp from June 19-25 and I really have to work hard. My band director put me in honors band so he knows that if he did that I would be commited to keep up the hard work and great ability over the summer that I do in the school year. Things will get better though. Just as soon as this band camp is over I have to practice my other instrument for the other band camp.
Sounds like fun bandgeek...Dare I ask what the other instrument is? :D.....Thats pretty impressive learning more than 1. I have enough trouble with playing Guitar and that's supposed to be easy.
Yaaay!!! FREE BEER!!!!
and yaaay again cause Freakums is back at the bar!!:D...I don't think I want to know where you found that last barmaid before she? started working here :D
Edit I just read the member intro thread so I guess that answers my first question:)

I found that last barmaid working in one of Brisbane's seedier local hotels, you know the kind I mean, Baldie's favorites :D.
The staff and patrons there were very anxious to see her go for some reason. Maybe it was because she became very angry and rammed the publican into an empty beer keg one afternoon when he suggested she should shave her mo and beard at least once a week because of the hair dropping into the drinks. She had a bad habit of chasing the male customers as well, and most of them just couldn't run fast enough to escape her:D:D.
As Freakums is off duty at the moment, again, and the bot is still locked in the broom closet where I shoved the rotten thing after I caught it guzzling all the vodka, who the heck let it watch Bender on Futurama?, I'll grab a bundy myself and line up some beers on the bar for later customers :).

Hi Greezlee, good to see you in here :)
I think when Freakums isn't here, instead of pouring beers and leaving them out to go warm and flat, we'll try the honour system and allow all customers to serve themselves. Of course you have to keep a tally of how much you drink so Freakums can fix the tabs up when he returns. I'm sure you are all trustworthy ;):D.

I'd like a shot of Jose and a Coors for a chaser. :D Anyway, just wanted to say hi, and hope that everyone is having, or had, a great day, as opposed to my wet, rainy day. :( Anyway... Don't know what else to say. New to the site so still trying to find my way around.

Hi everyone :)
JsWoman and yarnellcg17, welcome to the RG inn. Its good to see some new faces in here :)
I'm testing out my new wireless keyboard and mouse. The mouse isn't an optical one but I can cope with that, though the keyboard is one of the large key type and its taking a lot of getting used to after my small key flat one :D
JsWoman
06-16-2005, 11:38 AM
Well, I hope you get used to the bigger keys sooner than later. Thanks for the welcome to the game. I plan to be around, and actually post the correct topics in the right boards. LOL Sorry about that, yesterday.

Hey Yarnell. You are welcome to keep me company in the Inn as long as you promise to keep your cat away from my fish. Don't need any problems arrising between them. That being said, do you want anything from the bar? I'm going to go get myself a twisted half and half. (That's half hard lemonade and half hard iced tea) I'm buying. :)
yarnellcg17
06-16-2005, 02:13 PM

Did I say I was buying food? Musta slipped my mind. Oh, well.. If you are gonna get food, I best get some too. You didn't say what kinda drink you wanted, though. You said "that drink", so are referring to the kind of drink I'm getting, or what?

Maybe next time you can pay. I'm not worried about it. *Walks to the bar to put in the order* Umm.. Yeah, I would like 2 Twisted Half and Halfs, a Rueben Sandwich with chips and a large veggie italian with no onions or olives, but with a bunch of banana peppers. Along with the italian I would also like an order of onion rings. *Hands over 10 bucks* Keep the change, thanks for the drinks. Let me know when the food is ready. Thanks, again. *Walks back to the table in the far back corner*
yarnellcg17
06-16-2005, 02:40 PM
*Walks over to the table to be seated with her..But notices a juke box along the way and puts in $1 to play*

Well, that stinks. I'm sorry about that, but I'm sure you'll have a job before too long.
So, what do you think of the drink?
yarnellcg17
06-16-2005, 02:57 PM
Well with any luck and the skills.. I am hoping to land something soon.. as far as the drink..I find it very different..never had this, this way before..but is refreshing ty.. So tell me..how long have you been here?
JsWoman
06-16-2005, 02:59 PM
Here as in town, or here as in the Inn? In town I've been here a few days, in the Inn, about an hour...
Hey, look, our food is finally ready. Do you mind going to get it, since I paid for it? *flutters eyelashes prettily*
yarnellcg17
06-16-2005, 03:04 PM
Uh yes I will go and get it for us..*comes back to be seated* Here we are..food looks good doesn't ? Actually I was inquiring about how long you have lived here.. but I see you are as new to town as I am..
JsWoman
06-16-2005, 03:08 PM
As new, but apparently more settled, considering the fact that I don't have to find a job. :p :D But, yes, the food looks great. Hope you wanted chips, since it was a choice of chips or fries with your sandwich. *takes a bite of the veggie italian* So what brings you to the Inn?

I didn't see a double post. But I have been active in the boards, yes. Nice to find a place that I can play and post in. LOL on the "bound to liven up a bit! :D" part. Thanks for the welcome to the game.

Chips are good for me..I'm not much on fries..I came to the Inn to try and meet some new people..but to also take a break from job hunting a bit and it is lunch hour.. I think I can see where it would be of some relief for a person if they didn't have to work..

Nearly a quarter to 6, yes. Take a break tomorrow instead job hunting through lunch. You will screw your schedule up less that way.

Yeah, I have a whole folder, on my computer, of avatars I can use in the game, so since I pulled some new jpgs today, figured I would check them out, for future use. Knowing the servers does tend to help, I s'pose.
Gah!! 5:30 in the morning???? I'm sleeping at the time, and am very cranky if I am up, for any reason, at that time. But, if that's how you work, more power to you. Just make sure you take a break to eat at noon time, tomorrow.
yarnellcg17
06-16-2005, 03:59 PM
I will.. not sure if I want to see that bad side of cranky from ya...you know I don't believe you ever told me what brought you to town..so I must ask..if you don't mind asking or telling me..

yarnellcg17
06-16-2005, 04:08 PM
I must apologize about my cat..for some reason he gets freaked when he sees a baby with a hammer..must have been something bad during kitten hood....
I hope that we can become friends..making friends is what I like to do best
JsWoman
06-16-2005, 04:11 PM
Don't see why we can't be friends... As far as the cat... I think most any cat, kid, adult, or other small animal would be freaked out by a baby banging a hammer around. I think it just does something to you, especially when you are right next to her and can hear it. Just hope she doesn't break the floor.
yarnellcg17
06-16-2005, 04:19 PM
Very good about us becoming friends..I had alot of friends in Cleveland..well I'm hoping they were friends anyway.. wow that baby has a good arm..she might be a carpenter
JsWoman
06-16-2005, 04:24 PM
Who knows if she could be a carpenter, but she's very good at destroying stuff. Just a minute or so ago, she destroyed one of my vases. But I'm going to go to the arcade and waste a couple dollars on games. Hope to see you around, more often.
