So Bush has won the American election, and there is a lot of speculation on where he will set his sights next, concerning the "war" on terror.
Iran, Syria, and North Korea have all been mentioned as possible targets.
Personally I don't believe he will just outright attack another nation, because of the extent to which the American army is already stretched.
Curious what other people think will be his next major move.

I know the election is over and all, but I wouldn't have voted for Bush in the first place, I would have voted for nader.
Comment: Bubba you double post WAY too much...

I think he has his eyes set more on the Middle east than Asia, because of the oil and terrorism, but as I said in my first post, don't feel he will attack another nation in the near future. The American army is one of the biggest, strongest and best equiped in the world, but only has so many soldiers, and they are spread way too thin already.

From what we foreigners have been hearing, he already has.
There has been a lot of discussion on other boards, mostly by non-Americans, about the reductions of freedoms in the US, and how Bush and his govt have used to war on terror as an excuse to introduce laws that allow them clamp down on the American people, and keep tabs on what you do, where, when and to who. I have heard of the Patriot act, but don't know much about what it actually does.
Maybe a few of the American members can tell us if that is true, or just the product of an anti-Bush foreign media.

Here is a link that explains the patriot act http://www.lifeandliberty.gov/
If your not a terrorist, you really have nothing to worry about. I sure haven't noticed anything at all. If anything, as an american, it makes me feel a little safer that they are actually taking steps in trying to find terrorists BEFORE they kill people instead of ignoring clues and costing peoples lives.

Edit As its name suggests, this is a serious discussion forum. One line, off topic "yay yay America" type posts add nothing to the discussion, and are straight out spam. I deleted your other spammy posts like this one.

I agree with jawaman77 about the patriot act. It doesn't make me worry or anything. For what it is being used for currently is good and has helped track down terrorists, but I think the real fear is that in the future, the power might be abused and used for something that isn't so good. As for Bush, some people can just be ridiculous. I certainly do not support everything he has done, but some people are just constantly watching him to see if he might do something, like talk with an accent (*gasp* ) or spend a lot of money on his inauguration (most of which is donated by other people/companies). They find some way in every little thing he does to try to make him seem evil, greedy, or uneducated. By the way, I would be curious to see his IQ compared to yours.
